One of Britain's few left-wing tabloids, the Mirror was formerly nicknamed the 'Moron' after its then editor, Piers 'Moron' Morgan. Morgan was forced to resign after the paper published doctored photos of British troops supposedly abusing Iraqis, Abu Ghraib-style, a day after the original American story broke.
