Traditional county of [[England]]. Home to curly sausages and the Lake District. Was combined with Westmorland and "outremer" Lancashire to form the ceremonial county of Cumbria. Not even experts in English geography and civil governance can be expected to remember which way around Cumberland and Cumbria go.
