====== Benin ======

Benin is one of the smaller [[offtopic/regions#africa|west African]] countries. It's often recognised as one of the more economically developed countries in that particular region, even if its not exactly a powerhouse.

Along with neighbouring Togo, Benin's territory is elongated on a northen-southern axis. The country   borders [[Togo]] in the west, [[Burkina Faso]] in the northwest, [[Niger]] in the north and [[Nigeria]] in the east. Its southern border consists of its Atlantic coastline, geographically part of the Gulf of Guinea.
