===== Apathy Party (AP) =====

The Apathy Party is an [[ah.com politics|AH.com political party]] established by [[Caesar]] on July 31, 2008.  It contested the [[ah.com elections 2008|2008 elections]] and failed to win any seats in Parliament, by the remarkably small margin of 0.35%.  The Apathy Party has one member serving in the current government:  Caesar, who was appointed [[ministry of boredom|Minister of Apathy]] in the [[cabinet|2008 AH.com Cabinet]] by [[ahcom president|President]] [[Sargon]] on August 4, 2008.

==== History ====

There have been several attempts at establishing apathetic political parties on AH.com, ranging from the [[BrianP]]'s [[http://www.alternatehistory.com/discussion/showthread.php?t=37869&highlight=apathy+party|Non-Political Party Political Party]] to, arguably, the [[OK Party]].  Caesar established the Apathy Party in late July 2008, just days before the [[ah.com elections 2008|2008 elections]].  The party registered for the [[ahcom parliament|parliamentary]] elections, but failed to win any seats.  The Apathy Party also ran [[HUCK]] as their Presidential candidate, although they failed to register his candidacy resulting in a failed write-in campaign.  Shortly after this, HUCK left the Apathy Party to found the [[Confederate Wank Party]].

In March 2009, the Apathy Party registered to participate in the [[Landsraad Special Elections, 2009| 2009 Landsraad Special Elections]].
