====== Abkhazia ======

Abkhazia is a historical region in modern day northwestern [[Georgia]], at the foothills of the Caucasus mountains and the coast of the Black Sea. It is a highly disputed region, with Georgia regarding it as its natural territory, but the locals clutching to their unofficial semi-independent status that they gained in the early 1990s.  

Not to be confused with [[offtopic:Abhakhazia|this board member]], though you may have been thinking of her, given that she based her nickname on the country.
