Zairian Mobutism without Mobutu?

Given US/Belgian influence it’s not unlikely that some sort of traditionalist nationalism would arise if the right win the civil war without Mobutu. Something similar to Idi Amins regime isn’t too far fetched.

But it’s details would be completely skewed. Mobutuism was at its core a personality cult for Mobutu.

I’d say the biggest difference, and the thing that would possible save Congo in the future, is whether corruption becomes institutionalised in a similar way.

A lot of the structural forces that pushed towards mass corruption would still exist. But without Mobutu leading the pack it’s unlikely to be as bad as OTL. He was easily the most corrupt man in history. So almost any alternative is better.
