Záviš, Lord of Falkenstejn, King of Hungary

Záviš, Lord of Falkenstejn married a heiress to Hungary, Elisabeth of Hungary, there is a certain dispute who is older, her sister, Maria or herself, they had a son as well - is it possible for Zavish to claim the Hungarian throne?

Now I am bit confused. Zavis of Falkenstein was lover and later husband of Konigunde of Halych known in Czech lands as Konhuta Uherska (Konigunde of Hungary) which was grand daughter of Bela IV of Hungary who married her to Czech king Ottokar II.

As far I am aware she didn't had sister Maria. From her Mathernal side her uncle Stephan become king after Bela IV. Konigunde merried Zavis only in 1282 while Stephan V died in 1272 and his son Ladislaus IV was king till 1290.

Only room for throne claim would be sometimes after Stephan V death in 1272 while his son Ladislaus as was still prisoner of Gutkeled but he wasn't merried to Konigunde yet.

He married Elisabeth, doughter of Stephan V only in 1288 and their son was born in december 1288 and in January 1289 Zavis was captured by Wecenlas II and in or around July 4th 1290 executed.
Ladislaus was killed July 10th 1290.

So if I got this right, Zaviš had a claim to the Hungarian throne through both of his wives, but the claim through the first one was very weak?

In the second case, Zaviš would have a pretty good position, but he'd have to survive Ladislaus IV first...his special relationship with the Cumans got him into quite a lot of danger, so he could plausibly die in 1288.

Zaviš' son is the same age as Charles Robert - i just wonder what happened to his son..
