The final rests of Socialist Yugoslavia falls following public protests, and instead Yugoslavia remains a federal republic, but with western-style democracy and elections with more than one party allowed. In a western-style, sponsoring money stream into Yugoslavian sports, culture and entertainment.
*May 1992: Allowed to play their home-games in Yugoslavia even this season, FK Crvena zvezda wins the 1991–1992 Soccer European Champion Clubs' Cup, defending its title from the previous season.
*June 1992: Yugoslavia wins the 1992 UEFA European Soccer Championship in Sweden, beating up Germany in the final-game.
*July-August 1992: The USA defeats Yugoslavia to win the men's basketball tournament during the 1992 Olympic Summer Games in Barcelona, Spain.
*June–July 1994: Yugoslavia wins the 1994 FIFA Soccer World Cup in the USA, defeating Brazil in the final-game. Sweden defeats Bulgaria in the bronze-medal game.
*September 1994: The "Yugoleague", professional men's soccer league, kicks off in Yugoslavia for the 1994–1995 season.
*June 1996: England wins the 1996 UEFA European Soccer Championship in London, defeating Yugoslavia in the final-game.
*July-August 1996: Yugoslavia defeats the USA to win the men's basketball tournament during the 1996 Olympic Summer Games in Atlanta, Georgia, USA making the USA's Dreamteam a Nightmareteam.
*August-September 1997: As the UEFA Champions League is expanded for the 1997–1998 season, Yugoslavia is allowed to have two club teams in the tournament every season.
*June-July 1998: France wins the 1998 FIFA Soccer World Cup in France, defeating Brazil in the final-game. Yugoslavia defeats the Netherlands in the bronze-medal game.
