What if the Young Turk Revolution failed, ending the chance for a Second Constitutional Era of the Ottoman Empire. Abdul Hamid II remains in Absolute Imperial Power.

How would this effect the course of the Ottoman Empire, if it remained in Absolute power, and how would Abdul Hamid II run the empire after 1908 to WWI?

Possibly results in no Balkan War, Libyan War or participation in WWI. Hell, even the Bosnia and Bulgaria crisis might be averted. Abdulhamid II was a diplomatic mastermind.

A stable Ottoman government that gets Abdul to 1914 is not one that loses a major war, so you aren't going to get the Great War emerging in anything recognizable to otl

Diplomacy. Abdulhamid II managed to keep the Empire out of war after 1878 except for one war with the Greeks. OTL the participation happened when the Germans replaced our taken ships by the British with their own.

Depends on who gets to butter him up better.

I'm not sure Balkan Wars are avoidable though. They were pretty much the Balkan countries doing the piranha impression. I don't know if diplomacy can buy them off sufficiently. Ottoman Empire might remain out of Second Balkan though, especially if the Maritsa line can somehow be held in the first one. Second Balkan was piranha impression, this time on Bulgaria, after all.
