In my alternate history project, humanity as a whole never invents the concept of an "Age of Majority". Instead, legal independence and the right to enter certain professions is granted on an individual basis via "Competency Exams" which are European derivatives of the Ancient Chinese Imperial Examinations.

Competency Exams are very susceptible to corruption and depending on who, where, when, and how they are being issued, they may have various prejudices such as racism, misogyny, and classism integrated into them, ie* they may be purposefully designed to be un-passable to people of certain ethnic groups, women and people from impoverished backgrounds. ( Kinda like the Jim-Crow era literacy tests ) Likewise, the concept of ageism is either completely or nearly nonexistent in my alt-history world, and the idea that young or old people are innately incapable of exercising certain rights simply doesn't exist.

In order to make it clear to readers of my work that this alternate social order is in-effect within the context of my project. I'd like to diversify the age range of U.S Presidents by adding Presidents who were in their '30s and 20s upon election to the lineage of U.S Presidents. I'd also like to add at least one president who was elected in their late teens, perhaps two, and no more than three.

I need help identifying any historical figures who I might be able to apply to this concept and when they should serve as President.

Additionally, in my alt-history project. U.S Presidents are entitled to 2, 5-year terms. The election dates are as follows:

1789 -
1794 - 1799
1804 - 1809
1814 - 1819
1824 - 1829
1834 - 1839
1844 - 1849
1854 - 1859
1864 - 1869
1874 - 1879
1884 - 1889
1894 - 1899
1904 - 1909
1914 - 1919
1924 - 1929
1934 - 1939
1944 - 1949
1954 - 1959
1964 - 1969
1974 - 1979
1984 - 1989
1994 - 1999
2004 - 2009
2014 - 2019

In order to create a sense of age equality, I want to try and avoid giving any particular age group a substantial majority in office. Lastly, the evolution of the USA should follow a path largely similar to the one it has in the USA.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I could see AOC becoming President in 2019, Theodore Roosevelt Jr. in 1924, Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1914, Alexander Hamilton in 1789, James Monroe in 1794, and Theodore Roosevelt in 1889.

I think your best shot at getting a truly young president is to have them inherit the job as VP. Even in a setting that doesn't really care about age, a political career requires connections, and that takes time to build up.

FDR in 1914? No way. May try to work this out some time.
He ran for a US Senate seat in New York that year (though he lost miserably) and was already practically acting Secretary of the Navy (he was Assistant Secretary though he did most of the decision making for Wilson at the time).
