I'm reluctantly voting for Goldwater: I'm not signing up for a permanent New Deal. He's not the best advocate of conservative Republicanism but he's the only one we've got. I just want to register a protest, and I hope we Republicans can win big in '66 and '68.
When looking at who may be the most responsible in foreign policy, we must remember that conservatism in the face of tyranny is no virtue just as extremism in the pursuit of liberty is no vice. Vote AuH2O
It sounds like Republicans have finaly gotten over the 1964 National Convention. OTL everyone was mad at each other when it ended. Goldwater had the party nomination but, not the party. Suppose you were still mad because Govenor Scranton or someone else didn't get the nomination?
