Lately I have been researching a bit about the great northern war and have been asking myself, could things have been different. What changes could have been made to change fate. what if Gustav II was not killed at Lützen or Karl XII chased peter instead of going after the poles.

Could the earlier introduction of american crops increase the population or does the discovery of the modern gold mines increase the treasury enough to start a series of reforms?

I would have made a deal with the Habsburgs during the Peace of Westphalia, putting the little notoriously turncoat German princes under a tram (in exchange for major territorial concessions in northern Germany as compared to Otl and confirmation that he is an advocate for Lutheran rights and is the head or at least second-in-command of the corpus envangelicus, i would have allowed the Austrians to do as they please in the remaining part of the HRE, of course giving a sop also to the French)
