January 14, 2011: President of Tunisia Ben Ali resigns and flees the country. Tunisia starts the transitional period that eventually leads to a successful constitutional democracy.
February 11, 2011: President Mubarak of Egypt resigns after weeks of protest and massive US and international pressure.
August 23, 2011: Libyan dictator Gaddaffi is overthrown from power.
October 20, 2011: Gaffaffi is killed in a US air strike. US backed rebels take control of Libya and form a transitional government. A UN peacekeeping force with 2,000 American troops enter the country. Libya becomes full a democracy like Libya when the UN mission ends in 2021.
November 1, 2011: President Bashir of Sudan resigns.
December 18, 2011: All US troops leave Iraq. President Obama declares from the Oval Office that Operation Iraqi Freedom is over. A peremant US military is established outside Baghdad with air capability.
December 31, 2011: Prime Minister Maliki of Iraq resigns.
February 1, 2012: President of Saleh of Yemen resigns.
July 2, 2012: Mohamed Morsi is elected President of Egypt. General Sisi and other military leaders are arrested when they are discovered planning a coup before Morsi is sworn in, making him very popular. Morsi is the first democratically elected leader of Egypt in its entire 50,000 year history. Egypt becomes a democracy.
September 11, 2012: Its a warm and perfectly normal day in Bengazhi. Absolutely nothing happens.
September 9, 2013: President Assad uses chemical weapons in Syria. President Obama orders MASSIVE air strikes totally crippling the Syrian Air Force and destroying all chemical weapon stockpiles.
November 28, 2013: Assad is caputured by Seal Team 6 in one of the most daring missions in history. They land in the middle of the capital, fight their way though Assad's bunker, and flee the city to a US carrier off the coast. Assad is flown to the Netherlands where he is tried as a war criminal at The Hague and world court.
January 1, 2014: US backed moderate rebels seize Damascus. Phase 1 of the Syrian Civil War ends. The new Syrian government hold parliament elections and welcomes UN peace keepers. The Russian Naval base is also requested to be closed in 6 months. When Putin refuses, the US says they will blockade the base by land and sea along with arming the New Syrian Army (transitional government) with heavy firepower to remove the base. Putin agrees.
Putin, seeing Obama as someone who isn't afraid to use force, decides to not invade Ukraine. He decides to focus strictly on cyber warfare which is more intense then OTL. Because of this, President Obama orders more cyber security which allows the 2016 elections to be held normally because of extra cyber protections and more time to prepare.
February 28, 2015: The P5+1 and Iran sign the nuclear deal.
March 17, 2015: Benjamin Netanyahu Likud's party loses the Israeli legislature election. Zionist Union wins the most seats and in a complete surprised to the whole world enters a coalition with Joint List (Arab parties) and Meretz.
May 14, 2019: Israel agrees to withdraw all settlements and troops from the West Bank along with ending the blockade of the Gaza Strip. UN peacekeepers will occupy the Gaza Strip and forcibly remove Hamas from power and restore power to Fatah who will also rule the West Bank. Jerusalem will stay under Israeli occupation until future negotiations. The West Bank wall construction is stopped and UN peacekeepers will guard the boarder only on the Palestinian side and will not better Israel. No right of return and will perementaly dropped. The US and Israel recognize the State of Palestine as a nation with full membership at the UN. A airport and port is allowed along with a self defense force.
The deal has been secretly negotiated by President Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State Joe Biden, former President Obama, Pope Francis, Prime Minister Issac Herzog, King Abdullah, President Morsi and UN Secretary General Guterres.
Libya, Tunisia, Syria, Iraq, Algeria, and Saudi Arabia all recognize Israel and start full diplomatic relations.
