According to The Holy Bible, King David was the greatest Israelite king to ever live. He crushed Israel's surrounding enemies, united the tribes, established a capitol and an economy his son Solomon would eventually use to build The Temple, among other things. And, he established his osn ruling house. But he also unseated a ruling house, the House of Saul, established by Israel's first king, Saul. And had things gone a little differently, it's David's best friend and eldest son of Saul, Jonathan, who would've ruled around when David did. Which poses an interesting question. What if Jonathan did become king?
Say Jonathan survives the Battle of Mount Gilboa, where he died OTL. He'a now king, David's still alive, and Israel's at war. Where do we go from here?
Maybe we can weave a nice ATL story?!
