WWII without the Holocaust

Would all the resources used during the Holocaust be directed elsewhere? Wouldn't help the Nazis win the war?

Not necessarily. Hitler still went after Stalin, who had the people to throw at him. And then there's the Americans, who felt obligated to fight on both sides of their continent once Pearl Harbor was bombed and weren't going home until Hitler went to hell, preferably with the Japanese Emperor.

Well, maybe not war-winning but it sure wouldn't hurt. I mean, they are said to have prioritized extermination above all else but how much it interfered with war waging I'm not really sure; were the same resources really being competed for? They recovered some of the financial resources by liquidating the victims' possessions and also by using them for forced labor.

I wonder if any other board members here have a more intimate understand of what categories and amounts of resources were really required to carry out the holocaust. The mind blowing scale of what was done does make me wonder about such things.

which is still pretty bad

With Göring the Holocaust could be butterflied entirely. He wasn't really racist against Jews but against Slavs and especially Russians. He regularly helped out his brother who was an anti Nazi resistance member who saved thousands of Jews.

So instead of a holocaust you might see a worse treatment of Russians under Göring.
