WWII delayed - Polish Windsor Dynasty?

I realise that the title sounds like a UTJ, but I shall proceed undeterred!

Reading Wiki, I noted that Prince George the Duke of Kent was proposed as a possible King of Poland, and that the Poles didn't mind him too much. The plans were only shelved because of the unfortunate matter of the invasion, and the subsequent occupation of Poland by rigidly anti-Monarchist forces for the next fifty years, which would spoil the plans for a monarchy somewhat.

(It's worth noting that the Windsors are descended from the House of Wettin, the same house that once ruled Poland...)

So, I put it to you that WWII is delayed in some way without Poland resenting Britain for it. How does the future unfold in this strange world?

A Protestant British bisexual as King of Poland?

Stranger things have happened I suppose.

(Actually, that's unfair as I assume George would be obliged to convert.)

But what would he do about his Protestantism, then?

Way different branch (Ernestine) than those who ruled Poland, though (Albertine). Just my nitpick to your comment :p

I vaguely remember there was a plan like that, but does anybody know who made such a proposition? Did that person had any political support for restoring monarchy in Poland? I'm Polish myself and all I heard were only rumours and anecdotes.
