WWI in 1870?

I came up with a scenario idea: the Italians perform better in the invasion of Venetia during the astro-prussian war, and so they decide to not only invade the papal states, but they also declare war on France after the battle of Sedan, and this makes austria declare war in the northern german confederation and Italy, but this comes too late as they fail to save the french, but the russians fearing that could happen if the germans and italians defeat not only France, but austria too (and possibly annexing austria into GrossDeutscheland) they align with austria, and thus provokes a alt history WWI

What would happen under such scenario? Could the british ally with prussia to contain Russia? What about the ottomans? would they join the northern german-italian alliance to try to take some land from Russia and Austria? And who would be most likely to win?

For what it's worth, as I recall, the Russians and Germans had a secret treaty, stipulating that the Russians would join Prussia if Austria joined the war on the side of the French. Between the three Prussian corps held in reserve, as well as the possibility of rail reinforcements and the Russian army, this would be a hilarious stomp.

Russia had a treaty to intervene against Austria in case she attacked Prussia, also the Austrians wouldn't join after Sedan, Franz Joseph had many flaws, but he wasn't suicidal.

Italy performing better against Austria is more likeky to see Hungary attempt open revolt and independence if they sense sufficient weakness. That might draw a Russian vulture in to claim parts of Hallicia and Poland but I doubt they will do more than that. Germany would intervene to take Austria and perhaps Bohemia (as a protectorate?) while France is likely to be in little position to do much but allow Italy whatever demands the Germans permit - likely Corsica, Tunis, and Nice. Spain may decide now is a good time to reclaim Pay and perhaps the other part of Navarre (i.e. the French Pyrenees) and the UK will likely do little unless Belgium or the Swiss are threatened or until a treaty is arbitrated - by London. I do not see any one power allowed to gain too much though Germany is the real winner in any event and World War I breaks out in 1899 thanks to greater French irredentism instead of 1914.

I think if you want German unification to lead to a world war you would need a continuation of the personal union with Hannover or someother way to bring the British in

France nearly imploded into a 4 or 5 way civil war in February 1899. Bonapartists, Orleanists, Republicans, a pro-German faction, and I think a pro-British faction. The inciting incident is actually kind if hilarious.
