WWI, Britain stays neutral, Japan?

Let's say Germany decides not to follow the Schlieffenplan and instead attacks Russia. Britain stays neutral (and waits). Is it possible for Germany to get Japan in to the war by offering Japan all its possessions in China(with the exception of small parts of the port of Qingdao) and the Pacific Ocean and in the case of an CP victory also French Indochina?
Japan has only to take a few Russian and France Pacific ports and would gain a good position to further expansion into China and also the Malay Archipelago. (eg. DEI, Thailand, Malay, Borneo --> in two decades later ). And even in the case that Britain enters the war - Japan could still be an alley of the UK and sent war and supply vessels into the Mediterranean Sea without giving back what it gained in Russia and FIO.
(from in German point in the case that the UK enters the war, It make no sense to try to hold German possessions in China nor Papua New Guinea but a capture of Vladivostok might lower Russian moral and the same is true for France)

Can't see Kaiser offering up his favorite Colony. And with the UK not in the war, the Colony is well defended.

Now later in the war, I can see Japan attacking Russia if it is clear Russia is losing. And if the Reds take over in Russia, it is very likely Japan attacks.

wasn't japans policy back then to not attack a western power without another ones backing?
And why attack russia they just beat them

With Britain neutral there would not be a North Sea Blockade. If Japan remains neutral they could then be the transporter of all goods Germany needed. Not sure you would need any more inducement for Japan to side with Germany.

Without British intervention I would expect Americans to have no problem selling Germany everything it could afford. It's a much easier trip to make than from Japan too. Don't get me wrong they'd sell France everything it could afford as well.

Given the complex mix of friendship and patronisation Britain had towards Japan at the time, I can see them pressuring Tokyo to avoid siding with Germany. Might be neutral but Britain isn't keen on the Kaiser, they might even supply Japan if they decide to join France's side.

Australia would go nuts and Germany would probably get them back in the peace treaty. Japan would be much better off siding with Germany and attacking France. Japanese Indo-China 25 years earlier?
