Ww1: britain attacks France after France invades Belgium

What happens if germany does not invade belgium, instead focusing on Russia, and by 1915, with the russian cracking the french invade Belgium, in order to bypass german defenses? Would the uk declare war on them? If so (even though it is a very unlikely scenario), how does the uk-french war play out? Do the french just pull out of Belgium and apologize?

No they would not declare war. They would publicly protest while clandestinely aiding the French.

But such a move would be a disaster for France; they have no valid troops to send to Belgium, ehile the belgian army might prove a valuable ally for the germans

The consensus I see in most discussions is that Germany may not and Britain shall go to war but France may and Britain will back pedal. I think it is a bit harsh but not unrealistic. The argument is that Britain has grand geo-political reasons to see Germany curbed and Belgium is the casus belli for the masses, cover for the deeper less moral reasons. Frankly, unless the French go full ugly invasion the propaganda likely moderates the look of it, just a corner cut through Belgian Luxembourg, likely much accusations the Germans already crossed the border, the censors suppress any doubts. For me this violation should come sooner once Britain is not sending the BEF, the French 5th needs to get at Luxembourg and cutting the corner through Belgian Luxembourg is the shortest distance. The German Third will moving to flank it as the Fourth meets it. Belgium should attempt to expel both and maybe calls upon Britain. Britain can be in the war for all the right reason, Germany can still play villain, France forgiven for her disastrous faux pas.
