Hereby, I will start a new Alternate Biographies thread.

Nothing ASB, and don't go around _____-bashing. The biographies can be from before or after 1900, and it works somewhat like the "Explain the AH Quote" thread:

I will write a name of a (more or less) famous person, and then the next poster is to write an alternate biography and - under it in bold - the next name. The name can also have perks or a challenge attached to it.

And off you go!

Douglas MacArthur

Douglas MacArthur
Douglas MacArthur (January 26, 1880, Little Rock, Arkansas - April 5, 1957, Washington) - American military commander, the highest ranking officer - Army General (December 18, 1932), Great Field Marshal of the American Empire, Chairman of the Supreme Extraordinary Committee of the American Empire, Chief of the American People , The Dictator, the gentleman of many orders and medals. One of the most uneven figures in American history.

Douglas MacArthur was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1880. His parents were Lieutenant-General Arthur MacArthur Jr. and Maria Pinkney Hardy MacArthur, on the paternal line he belongs to one of the most famous and ancient clans of Scotland. Father, Arthur MacArthur, at the beginning of the Civil War of 1861-1865 he volunteered for the front and soon distinguished himself in battles with the southerners. 19-year-old Arthur MacArthur became the youngest colonel in the history of the American army. Then he was sent to the West - to punitive operations against the Indians. Mother, naked Mary Hardy, also wanted Douglas to become a military man. As a native of the state of Virginia, she was proud of her fellow countryman - Robert Lee, a general of the Confederate army. Douglas had two brothers. The eldest, Arthur MacArthur III, was four years older. The average brother Malcolm died of the disease when Douglas was three years old. When Arthur, having graduated from the Naval Academy, went to serve in the navy, his mother devoted herself to the only remaining son of Douglas. He tried to enter the elite military academy in West Point, but did not go through a medical commission (curvature of the spine). Then the mother took measures to provide the son with admission to the academy. First, they moved to the city of Milwaukee, whose delegate in the US House of Representatives held a high position at West Point, and at the same time was the best friend of Douglas's grandfather. Mother hoped to receive a letter of recommendation from the politician. Secondly, she wanted to find the best specialist in the US, able to straighten the curved spine of his son, because of which he was not admitted to the academy. In 1898, Douglas was still admitted to West Point. He spent part of his youth in Washington in his grandfather's house on the part of his father, Judge Arthur MacArthur, who was a member of high society and the political circles of the capital.

In 1915 he went to France as commander of a small group of troops, which was to fight against Germany and its allies. In 1917-1818 he became a witness of proletarian revolutions on both sides of the front. These events strongly influenced the young commander - "On both sides I saw how the plebeians destroyed their masters." Ignorant, uneducated masses declared that it was the focal point of history, then I became convinced of the disgusting, unnatural essence of Communism. "I vowed to save America from the Red Chimera." Returned to the rank of Brigadier General.

In 1919, MacArthur was appointed Superintendent of the Military Academy of West Point, since 1923 alternately served in the Philippines and the United States. In 1927, founded the National Salvation Party, heavily financed by influential trusts. In 1930, the party was renamed the "National-Republican American Party", standing on the positions of conservatism and corparativism. Then he was appointed head of the US General Staff.

In 1932, with the help of influential businessmen, he received the post of Vice-President. After a fire in the building of the US Congress, declares an emergency. In the arson, the "left-radical spies of European-Russian communism" were accused, by virtue of the "Exceptional Law Against the Reds" was introduced, the Communist and Socialist Labor Parties were banned and liquidated. Later, reprisals against the Farmer-Labor Party began, as a "hotbed of agents of the Russian Narodnik socialists" (although the party stood on the positions of Social Democracy and Christian Democracy). By 1936, the National Republicans remained the only legal party in the United States.

MacArthur announced the need to consolidate the American people around a strong leader. Any trade unions were banned, the rights of owners of factories and management personnel were significantly weakened. The concept of "Cooperation of all social strata for the benefit of the fatherland" was put forward. All influential companies were merged into the so-called "American Production Committee" - a bunch of monopolists sharing power. The purge of art "from the red contagion" and "pagan values" began. Soon the culture fell apart into propaganda, entertainment for the masses, and the vanguard for the "Elite".

In the years 1938-1942, Canada, Mexico, and the islands of the Caribbean Sea were occupied. The creation of the "American Empire - the greatest state in history" was announced. Together with Japan, he actively intervened in the internal affairs of South Asia and the Middle East, actively promoting the interests of capitalist monopolies.

He died under extreme circumstances. His death was a signal to proletarian performances in both Americas.
