Wrestling WI

Better storylines, "character" development, and show pacing since Heyman will only be in charge of writing. Also no Scott Hall, Sean Waltman, or the Nasty Boys BUT earlier signing and debut of Rob Van Dam.

However, no move to Mondays so soon BUT is inevitable because Spike wants to compete with USA.

The upside of Hulk and Eric is Hogan=wrestling to mainstream media and Bischoff knows how to increase production values. However the downside is bring in friends like Hogan has done and being too concerned with ratings then the overall product like last Monday's Impact when the show's pacing (in other words commercial breaks) was all over the place as Bischoff was trying to be on while RAW was at commercial.

Really tempted to do a TNA thrives TL as I know I could book TNA better than they do now.

Any real wrestling fan could book TNA better than they do now.

From August to December 2009, TNA was really on a roll. Come January 2010, Hogan and Bischoff appear on the scene and TNA starts taking two or threes steps back for every stop forward.

I would be interested to see a thriving TNA TL if you do one.

I would agree, we could always use more non-political/military TL's on this site.

Heyman has said several times in the past that he thinks TNA is WWE-lite so he wouldn't sign on.

If he had, he might have prevented the crappy product they've got now. I don't think TNA can ever compete with the WWE, but they can put a legitimate product out there with better writing.

Problem with Heyman is he wanted FULL control not just booking but financially and well, we all know how that story goes.

I could even come up with a roster of people to cut and keep IMO which would be what TNA needs as they keep hiring wwe rejects like Hardy and make a few coups with people like Ken Anderson.

They need rid of Hogan, Bischoff & Flair. Bischoff for all his obvious positives has double the negatives.

And I would rid TNA of the TV title. Just saying it has no worth it was a vanity title for Booker T and that's it.

I have to say that I don't think Heyman would have been a good fit for TNA. One of the big problems with the company is Vince Russo and not Eric Bischoff or Hulk Hogan. All that said, I think TNA can still build on what they have now. I've considered writing a TNA Thrives timeline a few times, but I never could decide which year would be the best place to start. Perhaps the beginning? Who knows?

I would start the TL from say now. Rebuild from what they have now and make something that is respected again.

I see TNA trying to be the new "hardcore" wrestling because WWE is trying to become more family friendly. Lots of foul language and sexual inuendo reminds me of ECW and the Austin, DX era of WWF. That may change now that Linda McMahon is no longer running for US Senate.

Unfortunately Tank Cdr, it won't happen any time soon. The reason is their deal with Mattel for the wrestler action figures and such. The deal is good for WWE because Mattel is a good high profile business to be associated with, but the trade off is having to be a "gentler" product.

Also with Liberman not running in 2012, Linda (more likely Vince) might decide to give it another go...
