Wrestling WI - No NWO or ECW

1.
The idea of WCW´s NWO was greatly borrowed from a fued in Japan´s NJPW where a stable of wrestlers from the defunct UWF invaded fueding with the homegrown stars.

In a TL I´m working on, the original ¨shoot-style¨ UWF (1984-85) doesn´t implode because of internal fighting and goes on to become the first and main mixed martial arts promotion.

How would no NWO (just The Outsiders being monsters, battling the baby faces) affect the rise in WCW´s popularity and the WCW-WWF war?

2.
The split of Eastern Championship Wrestling from the NWA and it´s transformation into Extreme Championship Wrestling also had an impact on the evolution of North American pro wrestling.

In TTL I´ve got two ideas; the NWA, finding itself becoming more and more irrelivant compared to the big 2, goes legit and becomes the UWF´s North American branch/counterpart (UFC/Pride meets NFL/AFL). Or Paul Heyman, seeing the rise of shoot-fighting ITTL´s 90´s - as shoot-fighting would have 7-8 years on OTL´s UFC1 and Pancrase (Paul, while still working for WWE, was one of the first to try to show Vince the potential of MMA and a more realistic style. Furthermore, the original UFC contacted him to work as a co-booker/commentator.) tries to get the NWA to promote some shoot shows over here and gets shot-down and decides to create ECW, Elite Championship Wrestling.

What effect on the Attitude Era would no Hardcore influence from Philadelphia have on the industry?

Best Regards,
Mike
