Would there be Fascism without World War One?

can't agree, because in the beginning everyone admire benny for he's ability to make italy's recovery from the depression so fast.
That's one of the main reasons why italians in the beginning supported him
That's not correct, the depression severely diminished the popularity of Mussolini and that's why he decided to invade Ethiopia. The fascists only handled the economy well before 1925, when the liberal De Stefani was directing the economic policies. He was fired because the large industrialists that supported Mussolini wanted more protection from the state and more subsidies

You mean the dumb American definition of the word or actual fascism? I can't help you with the first but I don't think you can have the second without the Russian Revolution, it was the catalyst event that led to a dramatic polarization in the political discourse. Without the world War and the economic hardships of the next decades you won't see any fascist movement in any country. That said, the ideas are already there. Fabian socialism is pretty close to fascism, and you would still have a massive divide between a traditionalist authoritarian right and the socialist and anarchyst left in countries like Spain.
Would there be many young people who dislike both the socialist and traditional right? Couldn’t that be the basis on any fascist type movement. Also aren’t many fascist states more mix economies or basically state capitalism?
