Would Humber Imperial V8 have been successful?

Here's the prototype Humber Imperial V8, powered by a Chrysler V8 engine via Rootes partnership with the American firm.

The Imperial is essentially a deluxe version of the Super Snipe.

Also available as an estate wagon

Had the V8 Imperial been launched, would it have been successful on the market?

What period and which markets?

I do see shades of my old Super Minx which was exceedingly comfortable and built of pressed armour plate.

I'm certain that if the elegant Humber Imperial had been substituted for the sinister Chrysler Imperial as basic wheels for the Green Hornet, something different would have happened.
