hey, all. another part of my ASB ATL is that the Bolsheviks never take power in Russia and, instead, Nicholas II remains the autocratic head of Russia until the Depression hits and he pretty much immediately reforms the country into a Russian Federation most similar to the OTL UK in its governance. one idea i have is that the Russian Federation eventually shrinks to comprise only OTL Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan (basically emulating Putin's idea for a Eurasian Union) but i'd like to get some ideas from everyone else as to what could prompt the creation of independent states for OTL Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Finland/Karelia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan, and perhaps what larger states or unions that these could become part of. for example, is a Caucasus union plausible? as another point, what other parts of OTL Russia could potentially secede and be successful in doing so?
