Worse Etaples Mutiny Oct 1917

Could the mutiny by disillusioned convalescing British soldiers at the Etaples rear-echelon centre in Oct 1917, have been worse than in OTL, spreading to frontline British and/or Dominion troops in the trenches in the same fashion as the French army's mutiny after Nivelle's failed Champagne offensive ? What would've been the extent of such a negative impact of such a largescale British mutiny, on the Allied war effort, also coming on the heels of the French disturbances ?
