WorldRaj tribute thread

I've always imagined that the south african part of the worldraj would be not too far in concept to Alexrichard's (and Reagent's) "Boers, Griquas and Prisoners" TL, it fits well with the style of the worldraj

Alright, I'll see what can I come up with in my free time.
Oh btw, I hope I'm not stepping into any plans of yours, Atzyn, I haven't really checked who's doing what except for the maps that are already done.
Although not WR, this is AR's Argentina which might give you an idea of his thinking but please don't take it as gospel.

I do need to specify, all the stuff produced for Look to the West is at most a slight interpretation of what Thande indicated in the text, if not directly lifted.

I was thinking, rather than one cluttered legend, split the map into dominions [or groups of dominions] each with their own legend.
How does that sound?
Yes I was essentially thinking about that. One entire legend would have labels like the protectorates running into the thousands

Just to confirm - how is Denmark and Norway part of them? Is it via the HRE? Or are they part of some other crown through some convoluted system?
I've always assumed Denmark-Norway but as to how it became part of the 7;

I think the original claim was via Margaret, the Maid of Norway. Lost when Robert came to the throne but reinforced by the marriage of James VI to Anne of Denmark. Denmark was an elective monarchy and in 1577, when Anne's father died James and Christian contested the Crown with James coming out on top.
The centre of power in James' realms gravitated towards Kobenhavn until James' inheritance of England when the balance shifted to London, England.
Additionally, this is how Mecklenburg became an ally, via Anne's mother, Sophie of Mecklenburg-Güstrow.

For a while James was referred to as the modern Cnut.

@TheBeanieBaron - can we add this in please.
