Hm, I feel as though my maps lack that Raj-y quality that a lot of the others have. Should I re-do them?

I mean, tons of small protectorates is pretty Raj-y but yeah for that true Raj feeling some colonies/provinces should be sprinkled in here and there (atrocious borders with exclaves is a bonus)

Thanks :) I think New Netherland surviving as a Dutch/Burgundian dominion would make sense.

Perhaps Virginia could be raised in status to a Crown in union with the original 7? Historically it's motto was "En Dat Virginia Quintam" - symbolising it as the fifth realm of the monarch.

Your 1885 QBAM map of Africa might be a good start. Perhaps Sicilian colonies in Tunisia and Libya. Then maybe a lot of European city states along the coasts.

I had in mind Dominions of New England, Virginia and Carolina, and a Viceroyalty of Canada (more or less OTL Quebec). Pennsylvania and Maryland would be under the Penn and Calvert families respectively.

Maybe some enclave in Tunisia-Tripolitania.

Spain held various cities along the North African coast IOTL - those sound like they would still be a thing ITTL.

We are thinking along the same lines.
Didn't realize Imerina was an ally, given the protectorates on its land.
This was my attempt but I prefer yours. I see you have added a darker outline colour as well, good idea.
[btw what is the brown island in the NW?]

Likewise, my additions of a lighter shade to each.
I had to change Provinces 1 as the colour did not differentiate when alongside Provinces 3.
I also added the colour numbers for those who need them and a Nature Reserve as AR included that.
I had also put in a few potential colours but the vote seems to be going against that.

The island are the comorros, which Atzyn has already done
