WorldA Maps for Official/Published Alternate History Works

I actually have the sequel book, Live in Infamy. While far from the best, I think it's a pretty good book especially if you are a beginner at alternate history.

I got it early as a gift from the author for making the map actually. Not the map I posted here, of course, the older map was....well we don't talk about that one, but this one I'm willing to acknowledge and share.

As for the books themselves, they come across as a mix between AH and Young Adult Dystopia novels to me, and since they were my introduction, I still do like to go back and read them.

Twilight of the Anthropocene

Twilight of the Anthropocene is an upcoming mod for HOI4, which is currently in development but with no set release date. The PoD is that Nazi Germany manages to invent the transistor 20 years earlier than in our timeline, resulting in a more technologically advanced world overall. Also, some reforms help the Soviet Union avoid collapse, while China remains a hardline Maoist state under the Gang of Four.

This map was made from a combination of the original map leak and recent teasers. This map is not final.

bloody hell! impressive that Nazi Germany was able to invent the transistor before the Nazis took over Germany. did they invent time travel as well?

Do they understand that it is not so easy to invent a transistor?
Interestingly enough, FETs were invented twice around the time period in question, though it's not certain if they were ever actually built, we know some diagrams used in patent apps, when constructed, worked -- meaning that transistors weren't all that far away at that point in time.

The Years of Rice and Salt 1423 AH (2002 AD)
YearofRiceandSaltModern.png

The Later chapter of the Years of Rice and Salts follows the Chinese victory against the Muslim states. Both sides suffer incredibly high causalities with the Muslim world suffering from food shortages, hyperinflation, and strikes. Meanwhile, China is on the verge of a civil war.

What happened to all those Kazakh warlords?

In stark contrast to the chaos of 1962, TNO's 1952 looks positively tame.

mostly based off this post in the TNO subreddit
As far as I heard, the territory of the Reichskommissariat of Ukraine used to extend to the Volga in the West Russian War, in accordance with the original plans of the Nazis. After the hostilities, the borders were changed when the ineffectiveness of such a decision was recognized.

Here's your Ukraine to the Volga. Anything else I need to fix?
EDIT: Annnnnd then I learn apparently Japan annexed that part of Russia only after the Siberian War that collapsed the CSR and FES. That's another map made obselete.
EDIT 2:

Wait, are these just for the scenario, or are they OTL?
The Minister of the Eastern Territories, Alfred Rosenberg, indeed insisted that the borders of the future Reichskommissariat should be such. Here it must be borne in mind that for most Nazi officials, this term did not mean "the territory inhabited by Ukrainians", but "the black earth territory of Eastern Europe and the breadbasket of the Reich."
