This was inspired by a previous thread that explored ways to prevent the births of Nazi Germany and the USSR as nations. Many of the answers were simple, such as Hitler being blinded and killed during World War I, the Germans double-crossing Vladimir Lenin, and other possibilities. On that thread I pondered the same question applied to Italy and Japan. Italy being the government and monarchy unplugging Mussolini. Japan being a POD in 1905 immediately after the Russo-Japanese War, preventing militarist from taking over the government, and a renewed Anglo-Japanese Alliance in 1921, on the condition that Japan leave the Chinese mainland alone. With there being no Japanese Invasions of Manchuria and China, the Kuomintang routes the Chinese Communist Party during the Chinese Civil War.
So how would differently would the world have turned out with no Fascist Italy, no Nazi Germany, no USSR, and no PRC? What alternate alliances take shape in this timeline? Would the Russian Empire continue, or would it be Kerensky's Government? Would there even be a World War II like we knew in OTL?
