World Revolution

Revolts across the world in the 1960s and 1970s, coupled with the Chinese the cultural revolution ,establishment of the New left together , the militancy of the Red Army Fanction and similar armed/insurrectionary "Liberation Front" groups around the globe, and even a bit of a resurgence in the labor movement for a time once again made it seem as though world revolution was not only possible, but actually imminent; thus, there was a common expression, "The East is Red, and the West is Ready". However, this radical spirit soon ebbed in the 1980s and 1990s by a conservative backlash and free market reform in China.
However the main point is if the World Revolution is really happen.
What would the world will be look like.

Because of the way the USSR established itself under Stalin I find it so very unlikely, I believe Churchill said after WW2 western Europe was ready to go socialist... if it wasn't for the great evils done by Stalin which put them off. However if Trotsky became leader and not Stalin it maybe slightly different, its likely he would of opened up more foreign relations for the USSR and he also wasn't paranoid like Stalin who more or less made the USSR isolationist. Therefore I find it likely Trotsky may have supported Commie uprisings and fledgling nations across the globe. I also believe its possible it may of butterflied away the Sino-Soviet split...
