On 1314, Margaret of Burgundy would announce her pregnancy on the time of the scandal of the Tour de Nesle, which would have bought them three into trial, Margaret would give birth to a son named Philip b. October 2, 1314 who would have a doubtful paternity due to the accusations of adultery.
Her husband, Louis X would decide that it is bad for the realm for the trials to continue as it would cause a succession crisis for the realm.
Margaret herself would have been the guilty party and decided that she herself would be focus on taking care of her son, Philip, knowing her guilt on her own actions and the two, the King of France and Margaret would never have a good relationship with her husband and she would stay at the court to support her own son and prevent a further scandal to destroy her son’s reputation.
Margaret of Burgundy would need to do everything to cover up her own faults for her own son and daughter’s sake, she would be spared of the accusations as she already had the heir and Louis X would want to sire with her a spare heir who was born in May 2, 1316, named Charles, afterwards the two are separated.
