World in which the Great War ended in a truce in the West

If the war goes on to 1920 then its likely Germany will be in a worse state than Russia - the Entente will have to negotiate with the rats gnawing the bones in the Reichstag.

The moment any peace talks start, the French and the German armies will stop fighting and start going home.
These people were completely fed up with war.
Not sure about the Brits, they had a nasty tendency to shoot their men if leaving the line...

Actually the British (+ Empire) shot less than half as many of their men for desertion than the French did (306 versus over 600). The Germans however didn't shoot many (only 48).

The 48 shot did not solely consist of deserters, there were also murderers and mutineers among them. In all there were about 150 death sentences in the German army, of which 48 were carried out.

They have been held up by their eastern satellites, so it isn't quite as bad as you might think. The Central powers have complete control of the Balkans by then, and Italy might also be defeated, not sure on that though.

The blockade continued until mid-1919, when the Versailles dictate was finally signed. This didn't wreck Germany. The effects of the blockade were dire, but they didn't bring Germany to the brink of utter ruin.
The rural areas were hardly affected, while the big cities and industrial areas suffered. But even there, the black market could bring the diet up to standards that could sustain health.
The idea of 65 million starving in 1919/20 is not sustainable. The death toll of the blockade might have risen to 1,5 to 2 million (not starved, but deceased from other diseases due to weakness), but that's about all.

After the war the allies were amazed at the German trenchs
Concrete floors, and firing stands, Tunnels going back and down, hundreds of feet to large bunk rooms with kitchens and showers.
If the war continued for another 2 years, these would start approching a early "German Marigot Line"

I see Rasputin's senerio as likely here.
Germany loses it's oversea Colonies, [German east africa lasts a little longer than OTL as Germany sumgles supplies in to them]
However Germany makes east Europe into it's playground . [Intervenes in the Russian Civil War???]
Italy and the Ottomans both drop out after signing seperate peace treaties.
India gains it's independence, as Britian struggles to pay for taking over it's new African Colonies.
Japan takes North Salhaikin island, during the civil War. But without the US prodding stays out of Siberia.
US stays Isolationist, except for Caribean/Central America. [US Foriegn Policy 101 -- When in Doubt, Send the Marines]

I guess there would be a necessary peace (starvation, chaos and poverty in all belligerent nations), however I don't think it would be a lasting peace. Both sides would feel cheated and start to prepare for a new round as soon as they've got their economy back on track.

I'm not so sure. After such a bloody war, I think both sides would be ready for peace. Remember the OTL. Only Germany's crushing economic poverty and the humiliation of their defeat allowed for Hitler to rise. If neither side was truly humiliated (except Russia) then I don't see them being eager to go at it again. Certainly not their people.
