I'm not interested in discussing the details of a peaceful Middle East in too much detail, but lets just say the Hashemites are in charge of a singular Arab nation, there's a Kurdish independent state and everyone's fine with Israel existing and they share Jerusalem with the Hashemites. Saudis don't exist, there is no Wahabism being spread internationally. Ultimately, all is quite and well in the ME.
So how does this effect the ol' US of A? There's no anti-Israeli oil price hikes to deal with, no terrorist attacks or Islamist militarization to deal with. Are there any significant policies formulated by OTL presidents pre-2000 that don't happen? Are there any economic knock-on effects that drastically effect the US of A's future trajectory? Is Islam more acceptable as a part of US life ala Judaism? Are there any strange butterflies as a result of this that you can think of?
