It had been a very strange year. The United States had become a Fascist nation, after a coup lead by Macarthur in 1934. By 1936, the United States had become fully Fascist, and had begun to massively militarize, with the claim it was to revitalize the economy. In reality, plans had been to seize Mexico, Canada, and later on, the Soviet Union.

In this same year of 1936, a woman commonly known as the, "Iron Lady," fully consolidated her power in the Soviet Union. Her rise had started in the Russian Civil War, when she saved the life of Vladimir Lenin from a Reactionary Assassin. Since then, she had risen through the ranks of the political party in the Soviet Union. In some ways through subterfuge, other times through charisma. Regardless, she had an uphill climb, from both her gender and being a relatively new face on the Bolshevik political scene.

Germany had taken a strange course. The Iron Lady had spearheaded a type of foreign policy that primarily advocated destroying Fascist movements, even if it meant collaborating with otherwise Anti-Communist parties at times. The radical right was decimated in Germany from a Communist-Social Democrat Coalition that arose in Germany. When a riot broke out from radical right wing members, the Communists used it as an excuse to pass a series of laws that banned all radical right parties basically. By 1936, Germany had become a Social Democracy in the style of Sweden at the time.

Japan had become a Fascist state, however one increasingly insecure, with the Soviet Union to its North, and a Fascist USA to its East that it had uneasy relations with. Hence, its empire had become shaky at best with two giants looking to demolish it.

The stage had been set for a very massive conflict between the two most powerful countries on Earth, and in a sense, the two most powerful ideologies, Communism and Fascism. Time would tell how long and brutal this conflict would become.
