With a 1900, can the Stuart (re)take the british throne?

Before anyone asks, yes I mean the the Maria Herzog von Bayern who claim to be the real sucessors of the Stuart throne, that is why I used (re)take, because the original stuart cannot retake the throne as their direct lineage died, but since they have some connection the Maria Herzog could "take" the throne under some unspecified circunstances.

in the 20th century a lot of things happened. As people sa there are centuries when nothing happens and decades when milleniums happen, an so I ask: could some thing happen to allow them to make a "Stuart Restoration"? Maybe the House of Windsor makes mistake after mistake from the Edwardian era on, to the point that there is a breakdown of the british empire and some kind of republican government takes over, but the republic fails miserably to fix the problems and so the parliament decides to put another royal house in power?

Not with a 1900 POD. By then it's either the current bunch or a republic.

The Jacobite renaissance only run out of steam after WWI, so even if the chances are slim, there are still something that can be done with a pre 1918 PoD I believe.

I remember raising the suggestion in Shift in Priorities. That was as thorough a UK screw as you could find, with a terrible communist regime about a step away from North Korea. German intervention was the constant specter, and with the imperial system going strong and allied crowned heads dotting the continent, the possibility of a good Bavarian on the throne wasn’t that far-fetched (incrementally-speaking). It didn’t end up happening, but by then, with British society thoroughly unmade and ready to be rebuilt, it could have.

There is not any realistic way put Jacobite to British throne. Hardly even then claimants care about that very much. And Brits wouldn't ever accept Jacobite king. Jacobites are Catholic pretenders so it is totally impossible. Best what you can get is Jacobite dynasty to Irish throne and even that might be quiet difficult.
