William Walker was a Filibuster, who tried to reintroduce slavery in areas where he go, like Sonora, Baja California, and Nicaragua. He became President of Nicaragua in 1856 and ruled until 1857, when he was defeated by a coalition of Central American armies, helped by Vanderbilt (Walker attacked his Vanderbilt's assets.)
Walker attempted to reestablish his control of the region and was captured and executed by the government of Honduras in 1860, one year, before the American Civil war.
But what if William Walker was successful in Nicaragua, and became President for Life, and on that note, what if the Confederates manage to win the Civil War, with help of international support from Britain and France?
What would be the Relationship between the Confederates and Walker's Nicaragua. Would the CSA try to build the Nicaragua Canal?
