William Shatner died in the car accident in 1987?

What if on January of 1987, William Shatner was killed when his car crashed? Then there would be no Star Trek V, and Alan Ruck would play Captain John Harriman in Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country. Then Generations would be different, Picard brought a phaser and vaporized Soran in the end of the movie.

Why do you have to be a hater? William Shatner has become a very good comedic actor over the last few years. Where would we be without Denny Crane?;)

I think you're not sufficiently understanding the difference between in-Star Trek universe reality and the reality of the actual universe. Concepts like "Captain Harriman" may never come into being at all, or would be altered, and in either case there's a likelihood that someone else would be cast.
TNG, if it were even around, would probably suffer some butterflies.

If William Shatner had been killed in a car crash then he would have risen again three days later.

Nah, the crash wouldn't be able to kill him. Maybe a nuke would do something, but a mere car is not a threat to him.

How little you know!!!!!

A nuke would have simply torn a hole in the space time continuum (a nexus perhaps) and Shatner would have been sucked in only to be rescued by a bald French guy from the North of England.

"We must go back together" says Patrick Stewart " you must make Star Trek V so that people won't say Star Trek Insurrection is the worst ever Trek movie".
