William De La Pole Duke of Suffolk

A bit of a random query here, but William De La Pole was exiled to Burgundy I believe in 1450, to stay out a period of five years of exile, however, he died before he even left English waters I believe, due to an attack on his ship.

Now what might've happened had that attack been avoided for whatever reason and De La Pole had survived through the five years of exile and returned?

At the age of 54, when he was beheaded, he was pretty much near the end of the life expectancy.

If he survived his 5 year exile, he would be 59, nearly 60, unable to father anymore children, unless he has bastards from a wrench while in Burgundy, but most likely not.

What would be more interesting is to see him not exiled to Burgundy but maybe the North or Ireland?

Interesting why those two places?
