Wilhelm I, Bismarck, and Moltke Killed at Konniggratz

This was prompted by a post MikeStone8 made a number of years back where he wrote 'If I remember Geoffrey Wawro correctly, at one point King Wilhelm, Moltke and Bismarck were all gathered together on a hilltop which turned out to be within range of Austrian cannon, and several shells landed close to them, forcing a less than dignified departure.' This seems like an interesting idea so let's say that one of the Austrian gunners is slightly luckier with one of his shots with Wilhelm I, Bismarck, and Moltke dying in an explosion of blood and gore, the Prussians whilst shocked manage to rally and eventually win as in our timeline.

The king is dead, long live the king! The very first major difference is that Frederick III is now King of Prussia at the age of thirty-five, and assuming that he still develops cancer has roughly twenty-two years on the throne. How do people think he would handle the peace - the North German Confederation and exclusion of Austria still seems likely, but would he annex Hanover? I know Frederick III is often used as a potential liberal saviour but whilst not as conservative as his father I'm not sure he's as left-wing as people sometimes portray him. No Bismarck is going to throw any number of things up in the air. One thing I was wondering about was his relationship with the future Wilhelm II who would be seven at the point of departure, I know that some sources say that he tried to get between him and his parents and others that he actively tried to poison the relationship how much truth is there to that? A more normal, for the period at least, and slightly less militaristic upbringing has some promise, alternatively a grandfather dying gloriously on the field of battle could push things the other way. War with France is still likely at some point in the future since the French won't countenance a slowly developing German Empire, now though Moltke won't be around to run things so do events turn out differently? I'm sure there any number of other things I have thought about yet as well.
