Wif Henry VIII was never born

Number of choices but assuming Arthur is born but Elizabeth of York dies in childbirth - no Margaret, no Henry and no Mary. Arthur dies as in OTL. Pressure on Henry to remarry very speedily to guarantee the succession. If he fails to have an heir then the succession crisis will mount especially after Arthur's death.

There is no clear heir but a host of potential candidates -
1) Cecily Viscountess Welles (2nd daughter of Edward IV) - died in 1507 there is dispute whether she had surviving issue by her second husband. (unlikely there would be much support of her claim though.)

2) Anne Countess of Surrey (3rd daughter of Edward IV) - died 1511 - strongish claim whilst her son Thomas was alive however he died in around 1508 (there are suggestions of three sons all of whom died in infancy.)

3) Strongest claim from this branch would almost certainly be - Catherine of York (4th daughter of Edward IV) born in 1479 - she is just thirty at Henry's death - she is married to William Courtenay heir of the Earl of Devon and has two surviving children Henry Courtenay and Margaret Courtenay.

4) Lady Margaret Pole - daughter of George Duke of Clarence - high in Royal favour and married with a large family.
5) The remaining De La Pole's - brothers of John Earl of Lincoln kld at Stoke - resentful and rebellious - but their claim on paper is poor and they have little support.

Strongest and likeliest winner though is
Edward Stafford 3rd Duke of Buckingham - descended from Edward III's youngest son in the female line, has a Beaufort claim to the throne again in the female line, his mother was married secondly to Henry VII's uncle Jasper Duke of Bedford, one of England's wealthiest peers, ambitious and young with 4 children but only one son (born around 1501).

In those circumstances the likelihood is of Buckingham winning any power struggle - he is the only adult male in contention and is rich enough to defeat the Howards and the Courtenays. Anne of York dies childless in 1511 anyway. In the future Catherine of York's son is going to be a thorne in Buckingham's side though.

I think that any succession crisis due to Henry VII would end up being cut off by Henry VII himself. If he refuses to marry there would no doubt be a massive amount of pressure on him to designate an heir so there would be no crisis, and I can't really see him refusing to do so.
