WI: WWI Over by Christmas?

What if WWI was actually over by Christmas, 1914? Would the peace demands change for either side? Would the Allies be more lenient on the Central Powers? Would the Central Powers be more lenient on the Allies, instead of the intended Septemberprogramm?

Tweak the politics so that as few powers actually join the war as possible, and it might be feasible to see a negotiated peace by the GPs. It’d likely be called the “Third Balkan War” if the cause stayed the same.

Of course, this just means the actual WWI probablt breaks out a few months/years later.

No Schliefen plan. France lose lots of soldiers on plan 17

Austria and Germany take chunks from Russian

Czar agrees to peace leaving Austria free hand with Serbia

Well there where number times when the French 5th and bef where almost destroyed and whith out then the battle of the marn would not have been a victory (the French where not doing very well until the bef got into the esentaly undefended gap between 1 armee and 2armee. Having better coordination between the army's would also been real help. Whether that would win the war in the West is debaboul and in any case nether brition nor Russia are going to stop the war by December even if France serenders.

If Italy actually keeps its word and jumps on the band wagon, France is hosed. Russia probably keeps going until 1916, but the Western Front is effectively over by 1915.
