WI: WW1 Sealion

Ok, let me take a crack at this............Germany defeats France in the opening months of the war, someone else can figure out how, causing Great Britain to be forced to withdraw the BEF from the continent. Great Britain refuses to surrender, so we are looking at a 1940 scenario after the fall of France. A forward thinking German officer suggests air power as a way to keep the English fleet out of the channel in order for an invasion to proceed. After some secret trials in the Baltic, Germany launches torpedo and bomb carrying aircraft at British warships in the channel from French ports that Germany was given free access to as part of their surrender terms. Great Britain has no real answer to the air attacks on their warships and after suffering unsustainable losses is forced to withdraw from the Channel giving Germany the opening it needs to make an amphibious assault on Great Britain. That is as plausible as I can do!
