The Vietnam War was one of the more costly military operations for the United States. Hundreds of thousands of young men were sent away and killed in a country that arguably had nothing to do with us. This ended up creating the counterculture movement, which opposed the war and called for a more liberal, open culture. One of the key issues during this time period was the idea of women's rights. What if the U.S Government opened all combat positions for women during this time and therefore made women eligible for the draft? What effect would this have on the counterculture and our military?
