WI: Wladislaus became Tsar of Russia

During the Russian Time of Troubles (and the subsequent Polish-Muscovite War), several Pro-Polish Russian Boyars supported the rise of Wladislaus Vasa (the future King/Grand Duke Wladislaus IV of Poland-Lithuania). However his father, Sigismund III (who was at the time King of Poland-Lithuania) wanted the Muscovite throne for himself, and his ultra-Catholic policies led to the resumption of hostilities and ultimately the eviction (and deaths in some cases) of the Polish and the rise of Mikhail Romanov as Tsar.

But What If Sigismund decided not to intervene and take over Russia? Would there be a future personal union between Poland-Lithuania and Russia? What would this mean in a religious standpoint, and would this lead to an earlier Westernization of Russia?

Is there a way to prevent Sigismund from interfering and ruining it for Wladislaus? Like perhaps killing him off early? (though it could end up knocking Wladislaus out of a potential PLC bid.)
