WI: Wilson wasn't sick at the Paris Peace Conference

Probably nothing.

From what I've read the British, French and others were not all that happy that Wilson expected the U.S. to play a major roll in the peace talks when the U.S. had not contributed to the war much until the final few months.

it was more of hte french that wanted the get revenge since they suffered the most damage in the war. i believe the british ambasador to the conference said that when he listened to the debating between the various powers, he sat between John the Baptist (Wilson) and Napoleon.

The damage was done before he ever got to Paris.

His failure to include any leading Senators in his party, or accept any input from them, pretty much doomed the Treaty before it was even written.

I think the problem is less Wilson getting the treaty ratified; and more getting a treaty more to his liking in the first place.
