This maybe an Brit-wank or even a Spacebat but here goes nuttin'
WI: A younger William the IV was captured in NYC by revolutionary forces 1782. Would an alternative outcome to the war have been possible?
some ideas that appeal to me (Ameri-Brit that I am)
1) Wholesale British outrage and a further continuation of the war by an enthusiastic parliament and populace?
2) Nothing at all.
and the fun one
3) William is taken by the Americans and decides to throw his lot in with the former colonials. The States turn into a new Kingdom, not an English one but tied strongly and under the guidance of a new American only Parliament beneath a (controlled) Royalty in the body of William the 1st of America.
and let there be discussion...
