If William of Orange had died in 1688 just before the invasion of England (let's say he suffers an accident while riding his horse ), what would happen to the Glorious Revolution? Would a rebellion still happen in name of Mary? Could the Dutch still send a force to England, or they wouldn't bother now that William is dead? And could James II still secure the loyalty of the Army or was too late for that?
