WI: William Henry Harrison elected President in 1824

Despite being one the the most popular heroes of the War of 1812, William Henry Harrison wasn't elected to the Presidency until 1840(and promptly died 30 days later).

POD Harrison is elected governor of Ohio in 1820(in OTL he lost). In 1824 running as a National Republican Harrison(with the help of Henry Clay) defeats Andrew Jackson.

1824 was a bit of an interesting case in regards to US elections. Care to elaborate on exactly how Harrison wins? Is there a "corrupt bargain" like OTL's election of John Quincy Adams?

Harrison would not ignore the Supremes, so no Trail of Tears, except there was a lot of bad feeling between the Indians and settlers.
?Great Indian war of 1826???

Well possibly, there really wasn't anything corrupt about the deal in OTL, it was just a little dirty and under-handed. I'm thinking that Harrison will be a more successful politician the J. Q Adams and wind up with a chance to win the 1828 election.

True, though there will probably be a major clash in the south the Iroquois may be able to hold out in the north.
