WI:William Clito survives

For how long?
In the immediate he stays as Count of Flanders and Thierry remains under house arrest.
If William Adelin still dies then he's a natural heir candidate for Norman nobles. Henry will still try to promote Matilda but he may settle for one of the Blois brothers.

Much might depend on how well established he can get in Flanders by the time of Henry's death.

How would Clito still being around influence Stephen's actions?

? William Adelin died 8 years before Clito IOTL.

Of course. Godsdammit, I know this!
This is what comes of writing half asleep! Thanks for correcting me.
And Clito often claimed himself the heir as well.

What I should have said if he survives Henry then he'll get support to claim the throne. War over Normandy is probably a certainty unless Clito's survival butterflies Matilda and Geoffrey's status in Normandy.

What is know about Joanna of Montferrat, whom William married in 1127.

Being ten years younger than Stephen, I doubt he’d challenge his older cousin, although his claim from Male line is better than from a female line.
